Roundup helps remove the invasive species from Big Bear Lake.
Three feet down or so and infused with tons of fresh water.
Clear as a bell with water clarity up to 15 feet. Most important
of all, no quagga mussels! Big Bear Lake is in terrific condition
heading into 2008 season, and with minimal inconvenience to
boaters should remain that way. The invasive quagga mussel that
plagues Lake Mead and the Colorado River has not turned up in

May Trout Classic - Huge Purse & BBQ... |
A
larger field and expanded purse means lots of money will be
on the line during the May Trout Classic’s 26th anniversary
event, set for May 17-18. Anglers will try to reel in their
share of the huge $5,925 cash purse plus equipment prizes
during the event, with fishing from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday,
8-2 on Sunday. The field for the event, which is annually
a sellout, has been increased from 400 to 425 so there are
more opportunities to get in on the fun...and a shot at the
$2,025 prize for the largest trout! Spring fishing has been
